So Goes The Nation

There's a saying, 'As California goes, so goes the nation."

California has been a trendsetter to the nation since becoming a state, including pointing the way in its political ideology. Traditionally, Californians tend to lean toward liberal democratic ideals, but occasionally seem to come to their senses. The joke ends there.

With a soaring deficit, outrageous taxes and nearly impossible prices on almost everything, one has to wonder if what has been going on in California might happen to the rest of the nation. I'm here to say we're in for an ugly surprise. We all watched the process of the recall election against Governor Grey Davis, often with bemusement, but it was not so much because of his incompetence or even the stagnant state economy -- join the crowd on that one -- it was because Californians are flat out disgusted with the status quo. The status quo being called "Liberalism". Even the Hispanics voted against it with a surprising turnout in Schwartzenneger's landslide victory. The Liberals there and anywhere in this country all stand for the same things, and it is completely opposed to American ideals, and it was all aired out during the recall election.

First, they tried to halt the democratic process through the ACLU with court action, which only failed because of the groundswell anger from Californians and media attention that focused on the fact that the Liberals were attempting to halt the democratic process, just as they did in the Bush-Gore election. They even wondered if Californians were too stupid to correctly punch the right (preferably Democrat) hole in the punch cards.

Then, there was the 11th hour fiasco about Arnold groping and making statements about Hitler he may or may not have said sometime in antiquity. The truth came out that the liberal Los Angeles Times not only withheld that information until the last minute, but also had always withheld damaging information about Grey Davis. Do I see a pattern emerging here? Some would politely call it the Liberal's double standard, but I call it two-faced.

The Liberals have no foundation for their ideals. Their ideology is a failure, they haven't a clue as to how to deal with the economy, by rather raising our taxes than to follow any sense for fiscal restraint. Rather than any real solutions, they spew character assassination against their political opponents with lies and rumors while turning the other way when one of their own commits wrongdoing.

They've enslaved millions on the welfare dole because they think people are too stupid to take care of themselves. They incite class warfare with "multi-culturalism" and pitting the wealthy against the poor, the support of gay rights, and support for abortions. In other words, they are opposed to a democratic, Christian nation because quite frankly folks, Liberalism is actually socialism, where the state controls everything as in the education system and "cradle to grave" social reform, education, career planning and health care. Liberalism will destroy California. Choked with bureaucracies, restrictive and business unfriendly regulations and environmental policies, plagued with uncontrolled immigration and allowing those illegal immigrants more rights than the citizens have at their expense, working Californians are fleeing their state in record numbers. The only people who seem to like it are the Liberals and human debris who leech off the taxpayers.

Liberalism is a disease, and as a trend that will destroy California, so goes the nation.
