What is tuppenceworth.ie?
Tuppenceworth.ie is a new Irish website which will provide an opportunity
for anyone to give their opinion on any topic close to their heart. Open
to contributions from anyone with something to say, the site will include
regular columnists, contributing articles on everything from music to
travel, taking in politics and the arts along the way. We will also try
to provide an exhibition space for artists we think should get more exposure.
For the moment, and the foreseeable future, no-one will be paid for
their work (particularly not the Editor) but you will have the kudos and
satisfaction of seeing your name and thoughts appear in front of thousands
of people.
Can I contribute?
Everyone has something that interests them, be it an obsession with buying
all the glossy women's magazines that come out in a month or trying to
make sense of what has happened to them in their lives. And we want to
know what's in your head. We want to be a place where the good and the
the bad parts of life are honestly looked at, as well as somewhere where
the strange parts of life are explored for our amusement. But we can only
get there by hearing what your life is like.
So if you race camels, or go to quilting classes, or
have had something happen to you that you think might be interesting to
other people to read about, then this is your chance to get it out to
the world. We also want to be a place where people's work and creativity
can be put in view, so we are looking for artists and photographers to
submit work. We will be mounting exhibitions
of work we think should find a wider audience.
How do I contribute?
Contact submissions@tuppenceworth.ie
with an article, indicating whether or not you would also like to become
a regular columnist. Columns can be contributed on a weekly, fortnightly
or monthly basis. Or you can become an irregular writer, and send us work
when the spirit takes you. If you have a particular topic you think should
be addressed, or have any questions, email us at ideas@tuppenceworth.ie.
