El Greco’s St Francis Receiving The Stigmata is the first of a series of short reflections on pieces in the National Gallery of Ireland on Merrion Square.
I do have a rather handsome photograph of the painting, which I would like to post alongside the essay, but unfortunately the copyright provisions of the National Gallery seek to prevent me from doing so.
