HD TV: An In-Depth Report

I stood in the shop and looked at all the HD TVs showing HD channels.

Now I can give you the full, in-depth story.

High Definition Television is a way of almost, but not quite, making the picture on a giant flat screen TV (€2000- €infinite) match the quality of the picture on a normal telly (from €75).

I can’t wait for my upcoming expose of microwaves, can you? (Sneak preview- “You can only use them to reheat things. You can’t cook stuff in them.”)

    Amazing.

Forget microwaves, move on to toasters.

My God, man, you’re so naive. HDTV is about the big corporations in both the electronics and entertainment industries squeezing a new bundle of money out of this consumerist Western society. Cut up your credit cards now!

And, of course (DRi members take note) introducing the Broadcast Flag eventually in order to get around the pesky Sony decision in the Eighties over home copying.
