Many thanks to all those who voted for Tuppenceworth in the Irish Blog Awards. As we’re in the shortlist for best Political Blog, I feel I ought to do something novel to earn my keep. See above for an image of the top 50 tags made out of Pat Rabbite’s Party Conference Speech last weekend. I’ll do the same for all the Party Leader speeches. Well done on the short-listing. I voted for tuppenceworth in a couple of categories – good that you made the cut in one.
Also, brilliant idea on the tag-cloud. The two you’ve got up already prove an interesting concept and the tag-cloud visualisation method is perfect for the purpose. Did you come up with the idea yourself or borrow it from somewhere else?
It’s a copy of an idea the New York Times applied to Bush’s state of the union speeches. They also did a series of the tag clouds of his various speeches so you could see the changes in his emphasis.
