Mary Wilson on Drive Time has just finished speaking to to US Ambassador Thomas Foley. Mr. Foley feels that in the Democratic Primary Elections today, the states to watch are California, New York and New Jersey. So far, so uncontroversial. Mr. Foley then went on to state that unlike California, the NY and NJ primaries are winner-take-all in allocation of delegates. But they’re not. No Democratic primaries, caucuses or conventions adopt a winner-take-all system. Mr. Foley, a Republican (one presumes) is hardly to be expected to know the rules of the other party’s candidate selection process. But in a close election, where such things matter, you’d think RTE might have found someone who knew what they were talking about.

Query:
Is this is the same Tom C. Foley who was in G.W.Bush’s class in Harvard, and who features in Chandrasekaran’s book ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City’?
Regarding the illegal selling off of Iraq’s state-owned enterprises, Foley is quoted as saying: ‘I don’t give a s**t about international law.’
Just curious.
Yes, that would be the one [*smacks palm against forehead*]
