Well, that took less time to answer then I expected.
The next five days are going to see a lot of things happening all at once. One of those things will be the making and breaking of news organisations’ (and individual journalists’) professional reputations.
Bluntly, if you lie to us, mislead us or fail to work hard enough to tell us what is happening we will never forget it and we will never forgive you.
That means you don’t just print Ministers claiming the BBC are part of a global financier’s conspiracy, as though that settled the matter. You need to find out for yourself what’s true, and then tell us.
There is only one real green jersey for you. You tell your readers the truths they need to know. Everything else means you have learned nothing since the banks fell.
