Calling OPW re: Objection

I called the Property Maintenance Division of the OPW again today. They confirmed that the HEO in that section would call me back today on my mobile in answer to my question regarding the status of the objection to the changes to the Portico.

Letters arrived into some legal offices today relating to the restriction of access to the Four Courts. They say15th September 2005Dear Applicant, I refer to your application for a security access card for use under new security arrangements at the Four Courts Complex. Your application has been successful and your card is enclosed herewith.

I just spoke to the person in the Property Maintenance Division regarding when a decision might issue in relation to the objection to the proposed alteration of the Four Courts portico. He said that he would be on holidays for a week next week and that he had passed copies of the documents to all the relevant parties. He expected a decision to issue shortly after his return.

A message went out this week to members of the Law Library (barristers to the likes of you and I) for them to collect their security cards, as the Courts Service was intending to implement their grand plan of access restriction for the Four Courts buildings. Then the next day another message was passed on from the Courts Service not to come and get the cards after all.

Having spoken to the OPW, I've been told that they intend to consider the objections made previously under Part 9 of Statutory Instrument 600/2001. I'll come back and report if I find anything of interest in this legislation.

Posting this as a test of a little Dashboard widget. But have been thinking of new ways to throw logs in the path of oncoming OPWs. Though to remain effective, I have to be circumspect, I have come up with quite a good one.
