The Red Berry Restaurant has impeccable taste. From the elegantly sinuous wooden chairs to the lighting everything speaks of restrained Asian Style. Nothing on its menu would look out of place at your local Chinese take-away, but when the food arrives you get one of those moments when you realise you've been eating the shadows in Plato's Cave and the real thing has just arrived.
It's a bad pun but one that's getting lots of use this week, here in sunny Urbana, Illinois. The National Conference on Media Reform is happening this week end and many of my fellow media students are heading to it. In US terms it's just down the road, being about two and a half hours away.
With Court finishing up on Thursday for one of it's periodic holidays, I'm at something of a loose end for a couple of weeks. Unlike some of my colleagues, I won't be going on the Bar Soccer Club trip to Valencia (that's Valencia with a "c". Think Spain, not Kerry).

An insight into the hidden world of tuppenceworth's headquarters. So far we have ripped up the horrific swirly green carpet inherited from our predecessor publication "Ireland's Own- Interiors". The banisters have been transformed by the stinky magic of gloss paint to a bitter chocolate (80% coco, from the look of it) from the previous nicotine cream/grime colour.
Fluffy Dutton, our sex advice and vice columnist, returns to tuppenceworth. ie with a bang (or perhaps a whinny) in her new role as a Pony Girl, part of the Gringo O'Hara Drag King Spectacular. No, really.
Fergal's post on Libel on the Internet (printed here first scoop-hunters. ) is now an article in today's Irish Times. Page six in the Business section, for those with ready access to it.
I found this odd, but somehow endearing portion of the Dublin. ie website called the Virtual Institute of Simplicity. I took the chance to post them my simple idea- that there should be a number you could text to let Dublin Bus that someone is smoking on your bus.
