An insight into the hidden world of tuppenceworth's headquarters. So far we have ripped up the horrific swirly green carpet inherited from our predecessor publication "Ireland's Own- Interiors". The banisters have been transformed by the stinky magic of gloss paint to a bitter chocolate (80% coco, from the look of it) from the previous nicotine cream/grime colour.
Fluffy Dutton, our sex advice and vice columnist, returns to tuppenceworth. ie with a bang (or perhaps a whinny) in her new role as a Pony Girl, part of the Gringo O'Hara Drag King Spectacular. No, really.
Fergal's post on Libel on the Internet (printed here first scoop-hunters. ) is now an article in today's Irish Times. Page six in the Business section, for those with ready access to it.
I found this odd, but somehow endearing portion of the Dublin. ie website called the Virtual Institute of Simplicity. I took the chance to post them my simple idea- that there should be a number you could text to let Dublin Bus that someone is smoking on your bus.

Bewleys announced today that they will be reopening their Grafton Street premises in May. It will be managed by the men behind Café Bar Deli, Odessa, Eden and the Market Bar which means the food will be decent at last. It will have four separate areas including a café and patisserie on the ground floor, a fish restaurant and a restaurant serving Mediterranean type food.
We all have dreams. World peace, winning the lotto, taking a round the world trip, having the power of invisibility, you know the kind of thing. I would like those things too but my current passion is to own a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes.
Interesting piece here in the always excellent New York Review about class in American politics. Sarah Byam had a good piece here on Tuppenceworth a few years ago about how the right deny that class exists whenever there's any debate about economic priorities. To do otherwise would give the lie to the official line that there's no such thing as class.
Phew. After all that, I think I'd like to point out, briefly, that today I saw a cat.
